Every situation in life is an opportunity. How? Every situation in life, provides us with a lesson. Ultimately that lesson provides the fuel for adaptation and awakening. Awakening is a term that has had much use over the last few years. What does the term awakening mean? Here is one definition from Merriam- Webster online dictionary:

Personally, I connect with the terms above - ‘a rousing from inactivity or indifference’ and ‘a coming into awareness’. Have you experienced an awakening? If so how has it been manifest for you?
Let me briefly share with you my awakening. Why? I truly believe there will be a benefit to you in my new found awareness.
There are 3 main events in my life that have furnished the soul for my awakening to take place.
My Dad leaving when I was 5 years old.
Throat cancer/marriage breakdown/my Dad dying when I was 43 years old (I never saw him from the age of 5). These 3 events are very closely linked.
My experience of extreme negative religious mindset.
Of course there are other factors in my ‘rousing’ and ‘coming into awareness’, but I think the above were pivotal! How? I have learnt that our reality should not be projected. Through my never seeing my Dad from the age of 5, I was living my Mums reality, not mine. In having experienced throat cancer, I fully appreciate the incredible value of the voice. This appreciation of the voice is also manifest emotionally, through my experience for over 30 years within the religious organisation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I’ve grown to love true divinity, not a judgemental; man-made institution.
Through my work as a singer songwriter, my eyes have opened more fully to my true purpose. The album ‘Garden of Life’ is a shared awakening with you. It’s valuable message is one of our connection within humanity.

The key is to accept, acknowledge and embrace the authentic you. A positive affirmation of self and your own reality. The world needs creators not haters. Be more you not be less you! It is more about what you do, than what you don’t.

Home can often be used as a way of describing the external environment we inhabit. However, home can more accurately be defined as - the internal sense of being within. In other words, home is not where the heart is, home is the heart.

In conclusion, in the last few weeks we have taken a journey; a journey through various qualities and characteristics.
